Questions and answers

Can't find what you need? Message us on WhatsApp and a person will reply.

Do you hold my money?

No. Your customer pays through a licensed payment processor, and the money settles directly into your own bank account. Ajiye never holds or pools it.

Is it really free?

Yes, while we pilot. After the pilot the payment processor's fee and a small share for us will apply, and we will show you the exact numbers before anything changes.

What if my customer pays me directly?

Tell us it was cash or a direct transfer and we'll record it. It still counts in your books, but it's marked as recorded by you, not confirmed by the processor.

Do I need a registered business?

No. You can start as a sole trader. If you have a registered business name, a company or a TIN, you can add them any time.

Will this get me a loan?

No promises: we don't lend. We help you build proof that lenders and clients can trust; their decisions are theirs.

Which banks work?

Payments can be received into accounts at Nigerian banks and microfinance banks supported by our payment processor. We check the account name with you before any money is sent there.

What does it cost after the pilot?

The payment processor's standard fee plus a small share for us. The fee calculator above shows how it works, and you'll see the final numbers before the pilot ends.

Is my data safe?

Bank account numbers and tax numbers are encrypted, access is limited, and we never put them in logs. You can export or delete your data at any time.

Which languages?

English today. Nigerian Pidgin is being reviewed by native speakers; Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo will follow.
