Who we are

Ajiye is operated by AJIYE TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED, whose details are shown at the top of this page. By using Ajiye you agree to these terms. Questions: support@ajiye.com, or message us in the Ajiye WhatsApp chat.

The service

Ajiye lets a business create invoices on WhatsApp, collect payment through a licensed payment processor, see each payment confirmed by that processor, and keep a verified record of its work, with a web dashboard to view and manage it all.

Ajiye is for businesses and their owners in Nigeria aged 18 or over. During the pilot the service is offered to invited users and may change as we learn; we will tell you on WhatsApp before a change that affects how you use it.

How the service is delivered

Everything is delivered electronically and immediately: invoices, payment instructions and confirmations arrive in your WhatsApp chat, invoices are also sent as PDF files, and your records are available in the dashboard. Nothing physical is delivered.

What we do not do

We do not hold, pool or move your money: payments settle from the payment processor directly to your bank account. We do not lend, and we do not rate anyone's creditworthiness. Nothing on Ajiye is legal, tax or financial advice.

Fees

During the pilot Ajiye charges you nothing, and we cover the payment processor's fee. We will tell you the fees that apply after the pilot, and when they start, before they start; you can stop using Ajiye instead.

Payments are processed by our payment processor, Paystack, under its own terms. A payment shows as confirmed when the processor confirms it; the money reaches your bank account on the processor's settlement schedule.

Refunds and cancellations

Because Ajiye charges no fee during the pilot, there is nothing to refund for the service itself. When fees apply, a fee charged in error will be refunded to you in full.

Payments your customers make are for your goods or services, and are settled to you, not to us. If a customer is owed a refund, you agree it with them and pay it back directly; you can then cancel the invoice in Ajiye or issue a credit note, which keeps your record accurate.

You can stop using Ajiye at any time; there is no contract period and nothing to cancel. To close your account and delete your data, see the privacy notice.

WhatsApp messages

By starting the conversation and accepting these terms, you agree to receive messages from Ajiye on WhatsApp about your account, invoices and payments. Reply STOP at any time to stop them, and START to receive them again. Your use of WhatsApp is also subject to WhatsApp's own terms.

Your responsibilities

Give accurate business and bank details. Only invoice for real work, and only invoice people who expect it. Keep your WhatsApp account secure: access to it gives access to your Ajiye account. Record cash or direct payments truthfully; they are shown as recorded by you.

Do not use Ajiye for anything unlawful, fraudulent or misleading, to send unwanted messages, or to try to break or misuse the service.

Your record

Your invoices and track record belong to you. You can export them at any time, and close your account whenever you wish.

Suspension

We may suspend or close an account used for fraud, to break the law or to break these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us.

Availability and liability

We work to keep Ajiye available and accurate, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free, and we depend on WhatsApp, the payment processor and banks, which we do not control.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, or for losses caused by those third parties. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Nigerian consumer protection law.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you on WhatsApp before the change takes effect. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you have a complaint, contact us first at support@ajiye.com and we will try to resolve it.
